Return & Refund Policy
We want you to love your handmade Moroccan products from Morish Craft as much as we do. Each of our items is artisan-crafted, meaning slight variations or imperfections are part of their unique charm. Your customer trust is important to us, so if you're not completely satisfied with your purchase, we’re here to help with a fair and simple return process. We also encourage sustainable shopping – while we hope you’ll cherish your item, we understand that returns are sometimes necessary and we handle them responsibly.
Return Window
We accept returns within 7 days of receiving your order. If 7 days have gone by since your delivery, unfortunately we may not be able to offer a refund or exchange. Please initiate the return process as soon as possible to ensure it falls within this window.
Eligibility & Conditions for Returns
To be eligible for a return, please make sure that:
- Timeframe: The return request is made within 7 days of delivery.
- Product Condition: The item is unused, unworn, and unwashed, and in the same condition that you received it. It should be in its original packaging with all tags, accessories, or instruction booklets (if applicable) included.
- Proof of Purchase: You have the receipt, order confirmation, or proof of purchase from our store. This helps us verify the purchase and process your return quickly.
- Condition of Handmade Items: Our products are handcrafted by artisans, so minor variations in color or texture are normal and not considered defects. However, if you believe your item has a significant flaw or damage, please let us know – we will treat it as a defective product (see Damaged or Defective Items below).
If a returned item does not meet the above conditions, we reserve the right to decline the return or issue only a partial refund. We appreciate your understanding, as these policies help us maintain quality and fairness for all customers.
Non-Returnable Items
Certain types of items cannot be returned. These include:
- Custom & Personalized Orders: Any item that was made-to-order, customized, or personalized just for you (unless it arrives damaged or defective).
- Final Sale Items: Items marked as sale, clearance, or final sale at the time of purchase. These deeply discounted items are not eligible for return.
- Gift Cards: Gift cards or store credit purchases are non-returnable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
- Intimate or Hygienic Items: If we offer products such as earrings, personal care items, or other hygienic goods, those cannot be returned once opened for health/safety reasons.
Note: Handmade artisanal returns are handled on a case-by-case basis. If you’re unsure whether your item is returnable, feel free to reach out and we’ll clarify for you.
How to Initiate a Return
We’ve tried to make our return process as easy and customer-friendly as possible. To start a return or exchange, please follow these steps:
- Contact Us: Email our customer care team at Info@morishcraft.com or fill out the return request form on our Contact Us page. Please provide your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason for the return. A brief explanation helps us improve our products and services.
- Await Approval & Instructions: Our team will review your request and respond with confirmation and further instructions. We typically reply within 1-2 business days. You will receive details on how and where to send your item back. Please do not ship the item before receiving our approval and return instructions.
- Pack Securely: Once your return is approved, securely pack the item in its original packaging (or equivalent protective packaging) to ensure it isn’t damaged in transit.
- Shipping the Return: Unless the return is due to a defect or error on our part, customers are responsible for return shipping costs. We will provide you with the return address (our workshop or warehouse in morocco) and any necessary labels or RMA number. We recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance for high-value items. This helps guarantee we receive your returned item.
- Notify Us: If applicable, send us the tracking number of the return shipment. This way we can also monitor the package and anticipate its arrival.
Refunds
Once we receive your returned item, we will inspect it and notify you via email that we have received your return. Here’s what to expect:
- Inspection & Approval: We carefully check all returns. If the item meets the return conditions (unused, in original condition, etc.), we will approve the return. If there are any issues (e.g., the product is not in acceptable condition), we will contact you to discuss next steps.
- Refund Processing: If approved, we will process your refund. A credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment (credit card, PayPal, etc.). Please note that original shipping charges are non-refundable in most cases. The refund will cover the cost of the product only, unless the return was due to an error on our part.
- Timing: Refund processing times can vary. We process refunds promptly on our end (typically within 2-3 business days of return approval). After processing, it may take an additional 5-10 business days for the refund to appear on your bank or credit card statement, depending on your financial institution.
- Notification: You will receive an email confirmation when your refund is issued. If you paid via credit card, look for a credit on your statement from Morish Craft or our parent company name.
If you haven’t received an expected refund within the above timeframe, first check your bank account or PayPal again. Then contact your credit card company or bank, as it may take some time before the refund is officially posted. If you’ve done all of this and still have not received your refund, please reach out to us at Info@morishcraft.com and we will assist you.
Exchanges
Because many of our products are one-of-a-kind or made in limited batches, exchanges for a different item or variant are not always guaranteed. However, we want you to get a product you truly love:
- Exchanging for a Similar Item: If you wish to exchange an item for a different color, size, or a similar product, the quickest way is to initiate a return for the original item (following the steps above) and then make a separate purchase for the new item you want. This ensures the new item is reserved for you while the return is processed.
- Direct Exchanges: Alternatively, you can contact us about the item you’d like to receive instead. If it’s in stock, we can put it on hold for you and process an exchange once your return item is received.
- Store Credit: In some cases, we can issue you a store credit instead of a refund, if you prefer. This credit can be used for your next purchase and is a great option for exchanging to a different product later on.
Please note: Just like returns, exchanged items must also meet the eligibility conditions (unused, original condition, etc.). If the item you want is of a different value, we will refund or charge the difference accordingly after discussing it with you.
Damaged or Defective Items
Your satisfaction is our priority. If you receive an item that is damaged, defective, or not what you ordered, we sincerely apologize and will make it right. Please contact us immediately (within 7 days of delivery, if possible) at Info@morishcraft.com with your order number and details of the issue. If the item was damaged in transit or is faulty:
- We will arrange for a free return or exchange of the product. In most cases, for damaged/defective claims, we will cover the return shipping cost or send you a prepaid shipping label.
- Whenever possible, we can send a replacement item at no additional cost to you, or offer a full refund if you prefer. For one-of-a-kind handmade pieces that can’t be exactly replaced, we will work with you on a suitable solution (such as a similar item or a refund).
- We may ask for a photo of the damage/defect to help us understand the problem and prevent it in the future (and so we can file any necessary claims with our shipping carrier).
Rest assured, defective or wrong items do not count against your 7-day return window – we’ll take care of these issues promptly, no matter what.

When returns do happen, we handle them as sustainably as possible: returned items in good condition are either restocked for a new loving home or donated if they cannot be resold, so nothing goes to waste.
